Obituary of Constance Marie Johnson Siiter

Constance "Connie" Marie Johnson Siiter, 73, passed away on Saturday , May 23, 2015 in Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN surrounded by her family. Connie was born October 27, 1941 in Duluth, MN to John O. and Vivian E. (Beebe) Johnson. Connie graduated from Central High School in 1960, Duluth Business University, and worked in the dental field for many years. Connie loved spending time at the family cabin in Sturgeon Lake, MN and her annual spring trips to Cancun with her daughters Vicky, Julie and friends. She loved bowling, and to travel with Carl, going by car and motorcycle and fishing the local lakes. She was very proud of her grandchildren and their numerous accomplishments. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband William R. Siiter, and sister-in-law Carole Siiter. Connie is survived by her significant other Carl Markus; children Vicky (Daniel) Palvere, Blaine, MN; Julie (Mark) LaTourelle, Duluth; Jon (Tracy) Siiter, Duluth; and Troy (Karl Duke) Siiter, Alexandria, VA; four grandchildren, Jonathan Palvere, Maddy Siiter and Joseph and Katie LaTourelle; one brother, Wayne (Joyce) Johnson, Bovey, MN; two sisters Shirley (Allen) Auble, Hermantown, MN and Kathy (John Karulak) Johnson-Siegle, Kettle River, MN; two step sisters Nancy (Ronald) Johnsted, Briar Lake, MN; Sharon Williams, Omaha, NE.; a very special childhood friend Janice (Norley) Johnson; special sister-in-law June Siiter of Duluth, brother-in-law Tim (Kat) Siiter of Superior; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2015 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth, MN. Visitation: One hour prior to the service. Final arrangements were made by the Cremation Society of Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Solvay Hospice House, c/o Miller Dwan Foundation, 502 E. Second St. Duluth, MN 55805.
