Obituary of Amanda Holappa

Amanda Holappa, age 36 of Duluth passed away on July 25, 2022.

Amanda was born on April 15, 1986 to Jack and Cheryl (Kirsh) Dryke in Duluth, MN. She attended Central High School and graduated from Lake Superior High School.  She married Kevin Holappa on September 25, 2010.  They had two children Brooke and Blake.

Amanda was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She always brought a smile to every room she entered with with brightness to everyone around her. She loved entertainment whether it was a vacation, concert, comedy show, or especially a rodeo. She loved her horses and her new dog Mocha, which worked wonders for that missing piece in her  heart. Most of all she loved her family. She loved Brooke more than anything. She never missed a dance recital, soccer, basketball, or softball game. Her life revolved around Brooke and Kevin.

Amanda was preceded in death by her son Blake, father Jack, grandparents Jim and Judy Dryke, Lyle and Liz Kirsh, uncle Brian (Norm) Kirsh 

Amanda is survived by her husband Kevin, daughter Brooke, parents Cheryl Rodney Seeley, Keith Sheryl Holappa, Jaime Dryke, Lindsey Seeley, Darrin(Jessica) Holappa, Sharon(Sam) Pitkanen, Mariah Watters, LaRissa Pitkanen, Kyler Pitkanen, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and her big baby Mocha. 

A celebration of life will be on August 13, 2022 with visitation at 1pm and a service at 2pm. It’ll be at the Gnesen Community Center. 6356 Howard Gnesen Road Duluth, MN 55803
