Jane blessed our family and our community in so many ways. Jane was part of the neighborhood group that worked successfully to pair and integrate Hale and Field Schools, a first in Minnesota and a remarkable achievement. We moved from a suburb to our current home in south Minneapolis so our sons could attend the paired schools. They are as grateful as we are that they had the opportunity to attend Hale and Field. Jane was also part of the group that recruited me to run for the Minnesota House and then worked so hard to get me elected and re-elected many times. The powers at the time said that a woman could not be elected in our very south part of the City. Jane’s organizational skills were second to none. She continually put those skills to work on projects that supported her very strong values. My family and I appreciated all that she did for us, for our community, and for our State. She will be sorely missed. Jean Wagenius

Jane Galbriath’s friendship with my wife Stephanie and I, started at our local election caucus 40 years ago. Jane was leading the DFL caucus at Hale school. She recruited us to be more involved. We were grateful for her guidance and encouragement. That led us to many enjoyable opportunities to get involved. The political family that came together over the years has been a source of community for us. Jane was a key part of that, I will miss her. I have made a donation to www.emilyslist.org to support progressive women candidates. Bruce Lunning
