Obituary of Kathleen Powers Goblirsch
On Tuesday August 4th, Kathleen Powers Goblirsch passed away peacefully in her home in New Hope Minnesota. Her final days were spent at home with her sons.
Kathleen was born in Billings Montana to Donald and Mary Powers. She married Gerald Goblirsch in 1970 and they lived in Denver, CO as well as East Grand Forks, MN before eventually settling in New Hope.
A two time cancer survivor who formerly worked as a librarian, Kathleen was a loving and caring mother and was a homemaker while her husband worked as an engineer. She was an active member of the St. Joseph Catholic Community as well as an avid reader who loved sci-fi, mysteries and everything in between.
Kathleen is survived by her brother, Dennis; her two sons, Joseph and Jonathan; and many neices and nephews. She was preceeded in death by her parents Don and Mary; her husband, Gerald; and her youngest brother, Thomas.
Visitation is at 10am Saturday August 22nd with service to follow directly after and will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Community - Parish Center 8701 N 36th Ave, New Hope, MN 55427.
