I have way too many memories for the space provided. I remember getting up at 2:00 A.M. to give Brett his bottle to give your mom a break. And the summer times in MN when I took the bus or train to spend a few weeks with the Demchuks. My favourite memories were the countless hours we spent on the phone, sharing our life. Lois gave the best advise because she never judged me. I am so thankful she played such an important role in my life and at times we were more like sisters, sometimes she was maternal but most often a friend who I cherished my whole life! I did have my time to say goodbye when my sister Gail and I visited in May. Lois’ dementia had progressed to the point where she didn’t know me and that was a painful few days. I am so happy to have been there to say my goodbye and tell her that I loved her. I was equally happy that i got to share that last visit with My sister Gail, Lori, Brett and Carla. We shared tears but laughter too and that’s what families do. To Lori and Brett, thanks for sharing your mom. I love her so much!

Lori and Brett.
Please accept our deep felt condolences. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your families at this time.
I spent the afternoon with my Mom Friday when I gave her the news of your Moms passing. We reminisced and she recalled some memories that I wanted to share with you.
My Mom said that her and your Mom were really close growing up, and she remembered walking to the train station in Napinka with your Mom to meet their Dad (Grandpa) after work. They would then all walk home together hand in hand. She is very fond of this memory.
Later she recalled working at a printing company in Winnipeg and meeting your Dad who also worked there. She then says it was her that set your Mom and Dad up on their very first date.
It’s important to cherish the good memories and good times that you have as a family!
