Obituary of Anne Elizabeth Nelson

Anne Elizabeth Nelson, age 87, left us peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2019 

at Prelude Homes in Woodbury, MN.  

Anne was born to Albert and Elda (Boettcher) Lemieux in Menominee, Michigan 

on September 29, 1932.  She attended Milwaukee County Hospital School of Nursing, 

graduating in 1953.  She enjoyed 31 years of marriage with Elton Nelson.  

Anne loved music, playing piano, singing in choirs, traveling, and spending time 

at her lake home in Clitherall, MN with family and friends.  She had such a 

kind heart and shared it with everyone she knew.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Elda Lemieux, 

husband Elton Nelson, and sister Mary Lou Tammi.  She is survived by her 

sister Barbara Gable, son Ron Nelson (Tiffeny Sable), daughter Mary (Jason) Stevenson, 

as well as her grandchildren Cole Nelson, and Anna & Ben Stevenson.  

The celebration of Anne’s life will be held on Monday, December 9 at 

St. John’s Lutheran Church 20165 Heath Avenue, Lakeville.  Visitation at 10:00am, 

service at 11:00am followed by lunch.  Memorials are preferred 

to Grace Hospice in Minneapolis (gracecaring.org)
