Obituary of Clyde Allen Hansen

Clyde Allen Hansen age 81 of Farmington, MN died October 26th, 2019.  Survived by wife of 55 years Carole, daughters Amie (Jeff) Steele, Ann (Jeff) Paulsen, Amanda (Vince) Cavallini, grandchildren, Taylor, Matthew Steele, Lindsey, Megan, Hunter Paulsen, Enzo Cavallini, brothers Edwin (Dorothy) Hansen, and Harlyn Hansen.  Preceded in death by parents Edwin (Dick) and Edna Hansen.

Clyde was born in Faribault, MN.  He joined the Air Force right out of High School.  Upon his return he was employed at Scheldahl in Northfield.  He began his employment with the FAA,  Farmington Air Traffic Control Center in 1965 as a teletype operator, advancing to an air traffic controller.  He moved to Oklahoma City in 1977 to be an instructor for Air Traffic.  He returned to the Center in 1979 and worked in management till his retirement.

Clyde loved his family, friends and his community. He was Mr. Volunteer.  He was a Mason,  Lion’s Officer for over ten years, a Board member of the local Castle Rocker Travel Club, and Corinthian Cemetery, an active member in his Faith Church and always a willing extra hand for other Churches and community functions.

He loved being with his friends whether bowling, golfing, fishing, playing cards or games or just being together.  He was one of the guys that made this world a little better every day. He will be truly missed. 

A celebration of life  will be held Monday, November 4th, 2019 at the Faith United Methodist Church, 710 8th Street, Farmington, MN.  Visitation will be 9 AM to 11 AM with service at 11 AM.  Private interment in Corinthian Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family which will be directed to the charities that Clyde supported.
