Obituary of Darlene Marie Brunke

Darlene Marie Brunke, 69, died unexpectedly on October 3, 2019 at her home in Eagan, MN. Preceded in death by parents Donald and Mary Obry.  Darlene will be forever loved and remembered by her three daughters Christie (Michael) Serns; Jackie (David) Hargett; and Lisa (Ryan) Robinson; grandchildren David, Dalton, Pryce, Seth, Tanner, Hunter, Regan, Owen, Felix and Claire; sister Peggy (Terrance) Obry; brother Richard Obry. Darlene was born on October 15, 1949 in Shawano, WI. She spent most of her life in Wisconsin and had recently moved to Eagan. Her favorite pastimes included: fishing, gardening, cooking and a love of HGTV. In her retirement she enjoyed traveling and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. She was a regular volunteer at Feed My Starving Children and helped her daughter transport rescue dogs. Her family paid this tribute to her, "Darlene was a kind, compassionate and loving person. She had struggles in life but never gave up. She had a way about her that made you smile. She offered love and forgiveness to everyone and loved with her whole heart. She was truly a light in the world of those around her." Darlene left us too soon and will always be loved and missed. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 13th, 2019 at Easter Lutheran Church, 4200 Pilot Knob Road, Eagan, MN (651) 452-3680. Visitation at 2 p.m. with service to follow at 3 p.m.
