Obituary of LuAnn May Wandzel

Wandzel (Runkle), LuAnn

Age 76 of Eagan passed away peacefully with her husband, Tim by her side on September 23, 2019. Retired from Waldeland Jewelers, Eagan. LuAnn had a passion for life, a can do spirit, and a classical elegance that was apparent to all who met her. She enjoyed her work, cooking, baking (pumpkin or pecan bars), her flower garden, quilting with her sister, dancing and everything Christmas. She loved her time with family and her home. Home was her sanctuary and where she was happiest because she could use her unending energy to do projects or just hang out. Preceded in death by her infant son, Jared Speir; parents, John and Sally Runkle. Survived by her husband of 36 years, Tim Wandzel; children, Jon Speir (Christine), Ramonia Fleetwood (Roger), Rebecca Speir (Mark), Reada Hickman (Geoff) and Reveena Swearengin (Patrick); grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Shelby Bergland (Dale) and Dennis Runkle (Cheralyn); other loving family and many friends. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 12th, 11:00 am with visitation 10:00 am at Bear Creek Church, 74727 265th St, Grand Meadow, MN. Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association. Special thanks to the Brighton Hospice Team and every aide that provided comfort and loving compassionate care during this difficult journey.
