Obituary of Matthew McDonald

It is with great sadness that the family of Matthew ‘Whitey’ Robert McDonald announce Matt’s sudden passing in Duluth, MN on July 30, 2019 at the age of 31. Matthew was born in Duluth, MN to Jeffrey and Crystal McDonald on January 21, 1988. He graduated from Duluth Central in 2006. Matthew enjoyed riding his Auntie’s Harley, helping others readily, and most of all spending time with his son Matthew. Matthew was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandmother Bunny Runston, paternal grandmother Christine McDonald, and maternal Aunt Alicia Perrin. Matthew is survived by his two sons Matthew and Ryland, brother Paul Olson, sister Paige Bennett, paternal grandfather Robert (Kaye) McDonald, maternal grandfather Ted Runston, Aunt Michelle Schubitzke and her partner Mark Johnston, Uncles Mark (Beth) McDonald, Mark Schubitzke, and many other aunts, cousins and close friends. Matt will be missed by all and never forgotten by those who loved him. Matt is truly the most forgivable person you could ever have known. Matt’s Celebration of Life will be held Monday August 5th at 2pm, service at 3pm. Located at the Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN 55807. Luncheon to follow 4pm to  6pm at Gannucci’s Restaurant 301 N. Central Ave. Duluth, MN.
