I never asked you how it came to be, that my Father, an agnostic, might have known you were such a man for such a job. For more than fifty years after my own Father was gone you held your court. Always, always present and able. Now you have taken that Biblical station, "He has gone to his Fathers." They will have received you well. Remember us Godfather, as you did on that first year memorial day of your departure. I did not fail to notice among the eleven balloons so strategically captured by a neighbourhood tree, four hearts, my Mother and Father, my Godmother and Godfather.
