Lael Read Eginton

Eginton, Lael Read died peacefully at the Roitenberg Assisted Living facility in St. Louis Park, MN on October 25, 2018. She had just celebrated her 88th birthday. Lael was born October 23, 1930 to William and Edith Read in St. Paul, MN. She was an only child. She attended Northwestern University as a freshman where she met her future husband, Robert McCreery Eginton. They had three daughters; Katherine Ames (Spokane, WA), Anne Johnson (Greenville, SC) and Mary McGoldrick (Cohasset, MA). After her children had grown she returned to college to get her Bachelor's Degree at the age of 54. An artist, she also loved traveling, gardening, sewing, figure skating, and the view of Bassett Creek from her home in Golden Valley, MN. She was most proud of her three daughters, nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in her honor at a future date.
