Obituary of Reuben H. Emberson

Reuben H. Emberson, 95, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Carefree Living in Silver Bay. Reuben was born April 4, 1923 in Superior, WI to Bent and Marie Emberson. He graduated from Superior Central High in 1940 and married Evelyn Modahl on March 17, 1944. Reuben served in the US Army Signal Corps during WWII. He retired from the DM&IR Railway Electrical Dept. in 1983. His hobbies were model railroading, creative embroidery, and traveling. He received the Boy Scout Award of Merit, Wood Badge Beads, and the Silver Beaver Award. He was the past district Lion's governor for the 5M district and a Melvin Jones Fellow. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, son David, his parents, brothers and sisters, and son-in-law. Reuben is survived by his son Larry (Betty) Emberson and daughter Carol (Howard) Nopola, two grandsons, five great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.

Visitation 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.; followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 22 at Carefree Living 36 Bell Circle Silver Bay MN.
