With a warm smile, twinkling eyes, and a heart filled with love for her family, Betty Jane Guzzo embarked on her eternal journey on April 30, 2024, at the age of 93. Born on July 2, 1930, in Duluth, Minnesota, Betty's life was a tapestry woven with joy, laughter, and cherished memories.

Duluth was her beloved home, the place where she cultivated her passions for sports, bowling, crafting, and solving word puzzles. Her competitive spirit shone through on the bowling lanes, and her creativity blossomed with every project she undertook. Betty's love for game shows was infectious, and she could often be found cheering on her favorite contestants with excitement.

After a fulfilling career that spanned various roles, Betty retired from AT&T as an operator, where her friendly voice and warm demeanor touched countless lives. Her life was enriched by the love and support of her family, including her children Cathy (Mark) Rihel, James (Shannon) Guzzo, Steve, and Greg Guzzo, as well as her grandchildren John, Ryan, Jason, Lance, Anthony, Jesse, Becky, Roxanne, and Savannah, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Betty's journey was marked by unwavering strength and resilience, as she was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, son Richard Gustafson, and life partner Tom Carlson. Their memories lived on through the stories she shared and the love she bestowed upon those around her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Betty's caregivers, Heather, Savannah, Sandy, Allie, Angela, Alyssa, Katelyn, Alana, KariAnne, Gina, and Caitlynn, whose compassionate care and unwavering dedication provided comfort and solace during her final days.
