Cheryl Clardy

Obituary of Cheryl Rae Clardy

Cheryl Rae Clardy passed away on April 14, 2024, in Bloomington, Minnesota, at the age of 77. She was born on January 17, 1947, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Cheryl was a loving mother, sister and grandmother.  She touched the lives of all who knew her and gave her time selflessly to her family and friends. Described as easy going and happy, she had a quirky sense of humor and loved to tell stories about the past.

Cheryl worked for the Internal Revenue Service for over 40 years and while there were some great stories of her time there she really loved to talk about her time as a stewardess ...or her springboard diving at the junior Olympics ...or of course tell stories about her daughter.  Cheryl had her pilot's license when her daughter was young and she enjoyed flying them to air shows.

She was a devoted member of the United Methodist church in DeSoto, TX where she sang in the choir and played in the handbell choir until she moved to Minnesota 6 years ago.  Over the years she served the church in several ways including teaching Sunday school and traveling on several mission trips.  She was also a passionate volunteer which showed up in many ways.  Whether serving meals at a women's shelter or supporting her local Aggie Mom’s chapter she was always giving her time.  Cheryl was proud of her association with the Masonic Home where she spent her final years and was an Eastern Star.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter Roxanne Davis (Scott), her grandchildren Hayden Davis and Avery Davis, her sisters Teri Moore (Donald) and Kathy Jacobs (Jeff), and her brother Raymond Guy.  She was preceded in death by her parents Jeanette Sheldon and Raymond Guy and her sisters Ramona Porter and Tammy Blackwell. The Cremation Society of Minnesota in St. Paul, MN, is assisting with the arrangements for Cheryl's passing.
