George August Hedblum Jr, age 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

He was welcomed into heaven by parents George Hedblum, Alice D. Smith, stepfather George Spencer, brothers Robert and David, and son George “Scott”.

Survived by loving wife of 58 years Kay, son David (Crystal), daughter Alison Galaski, grandsons Brandon and Tyler, sister Dorothy (Irve) Lecy, Kay’s daughter Sherrie (Kurt) Campbell, and so many other very special family and friends.

George was a graduate of Mechanic Arts High School, a proud Marine and Burlington Northern Railroad retiree. He found joy over the years being actively involved with the Shriners & Shrine Circus, Midway Men’s Club, church, bowling leagues, vacationing in Mexico, playing cards & cribbage, tending to his roses, and attending his grandsons many sporting events.

Celebration of Life at 11am Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at Hamline Church United Methodist, 1514 Englewood Ave, St Paul, MN 55104. Lunch immediately following service at the church.
