SALINY, Richard "Dick", age 91, of Crystal, passed away on September 26, 2026.  He was known to family and friends as a man who prioritized family, home, and time spent together.  Dick was a longtime Orchestra Teacher in the Robbinsdale School District. He spent many years fishing, hunting and gardening.  Dick took great pride in the talents of his children.  He was very proud of his musical family. 

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra; brother, Dennis Saliny; parents, Joseph and Rose Saliny. 

 He will be deeply missed by his children, Jim (Jodi), Sue Saliny, David (Xiao-Li), Danny (Katerina); grandchildren, Ali Sirek (Colton), Andy Saliny (Kelly), Laura Salazar (Hugo), Xiao-Wei Saliny (Rachel); great grandchildren, Rosie Sirek, Henry Sirek, Mateo Salazar, Ryan Salazar; sisters in-law, Mavis Backen, Carol Dammann; brothers in-law, Donald Dammann(Darlene), Allan Dammann (Karen); nieces, nephews, many other relatives and good friends.

Celebration of Life 11am Thursday, October 22nd at Cremation Society of Minnesota -7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park with visitation one hour before service.
