Gary Eugene Becker, 79, of Estero, Florida, passed away on August 27, 2026. Gary was born on January 8, 1947, in Mankato, Minnesota, to Lawrence and Gertrude (Dombroski) Becker.

A farmer at heart, Gary spent his life working the land, and when he wasn't in the field he could most often be found on the golf course — an avid golfer who never turned down a good round. He brought that same steady, hardworking spirit to everything he did, and to the family he loved fiercely.

On May 4, 1968, Gary married the love of his life, Diane (Sackreiter), at St. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church. Together they built a life and a family that meant everything to him.

Gary is survived by his children and their families:

Michael Becker (Tara) — children Hailey and Cole

Christin Becker (Joe Rosilez) — children Jacob, Tyler, Gianna, and Annali

Steph Sholing (Pete) — children Daiton Becker (Aranda Foster) — granddaughter Ayla; Drake Johnson, Jaidon Johnson (Sean Sarkela), Levi Sholing, and Brenna Sholing

Carie Redinger (John) — children Kya Christiansen (Titus Bolles) and Kloey Christiansen (Landon Clark)

He is also survived by his brother James Becker (Virginia); sister Jean Roeszler (Terry); sister-in-law Kay Becker; sister-in-law Sharyl Yore (Larry); brother-in-law Donald Sackreiter (Sharon); and brothers-in-law Warren Grathwohl and Fred Theye.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his baby sister Therese, his brother Dennis, and sisters-in-law Darlyce Theye and Sheila Grathwohl.

The funeral Mass and Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, located at 214 S Holland St, Blue Earth, MN 56013. Vistation at 10:00 AM, funeral Mass at 11:00 AM, with lunch to follow.
