Virginia Anderson passed away at the age of 85 in Bloomington, Minnesota. Born 1941 in Waukesha, Wisconsin, she was the loving daughter of John F. (Jack) Wegner and Anne Wegner (Quadhamer).

She met and married Gary Anderson when she was 19 years old. In true form, she originally said “no” when he proposed…on April Fool’s Day?! Thankfully, she didn’t let him suffer too long and said yes and they spent 61 wonderful years together.

Virginia worked as a Homemaker for many years before working in retail and also as a home health aide prior to her retirement. She also spent many years volunteering with Travelers Assistance at the Minneapolis airport. She had a passion for helping people and that showed in everything she did.

Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Gary, and her parents, Jack and Anne.

She is survived by her sister Dorothy Wallevand of St. Paul and her children Tod Anderson and his wife Mary of Minneapolis, Tyler Anderson and his wife Dana of Minnetonka, and her favorite daughter, Heidi Anderson of Bloomington. She is also survived by her granddaughters Meghan, Britt and Tess.

Cremation is being handled by Cremation Society of Minnesota.
