James W. Blake passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, August 22, 2026 at the age of 97. Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by the many people whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alice, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage, and his son, Tom. Jim is survived by his 10 children, a plethora of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his special friend Hedy. Jim was a steady and loving presence in the lives of his family and friends. Together with Alice, he built a family rooted in love, joy, and faith, creating a legacy that will continue for generations.

Mass of Christian Burial to be held at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Elk River on Wednesday September 2nd at 12:30pm with Visitation one hour prior and luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Guardian Angels of Elk River.
