Katie L. Breemeersch, 43, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Katie was born on July 7, 1983, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Gwen and James Breemeersch.

She is survived by her loving mother, Gwen; her brother, Brian; her aunt; and many cherished cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, uncles, and James Breemeersch.

Katie had a love for adventure and treasured the time she spent with family and friends. She also shared a special bond with her beloved cat, Jack, who brought her great comfort and companionship.

Katie had a remarkable creative spirit and found joy in expressing herself through her imagination and adventure. She had a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten any room, bringing laughter and smiles to those around her. Her quick wit, warm heart, and ability to find joy even during difficult times made her someone others were naturally drawn to.

Katie will be remembered for her kind spirit, her creativity, her infectious laughter, and the strength and courage she demonstrated throughout her illness. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends when arrangements have been finalized.
