SCHLEIF, Louie, age 89, of Lexington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 31, 2026.  US Army Veteran.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine.  He will be deeply missed by their children, Rick Kurtzbein (Cheryl), Mike Kurtzbein (Jennifer), Cindy Hegge (Dan), Pat Kurtzbein; grandchildren, Cory Howitz, Anthony Howitz (Anna); many nieces, nephews, relatives and good friends. 

Burial at Fort Snelling, 7601 34th Avenue S., Minneapolis (612-726-1127) 10:30am on Tuesday, September 29th.  Friends and Family are to gather at Assembly area #3 by 10:15am on that day before being led to the committal shelter.
