Rita Adkinson, age 96, passed away on July 28, 2026 at St.Therese of Oxbow in Brooklyn Park. She was born on Sept. 8, 1929, in Rogers, MN. to Leo and Mamie Weber. She graduated high school in Elk River, and was a long-time resident of Brooklyn Park and Crystal, MN. Rita was known for her work as an Executive Secretary at M&O Paper Company and FMC Corporation.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Adkinson, her parents Leo and Mamie Weber, and her siblings Willie, Yvonne, Leona, Melvin, and Virgil. She is survived by her children Robert (Mary Minten), Greg (Karla Meyer) Mark (Laura Petersen) and grandchildren Matthew Adkinson, Cole Adkinson, Luke Adkinson, and Tony Aronson who will all miss her dearly. Rita will be remembered for her spirit of giving, her skilled gardening, and amazing cooking.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday, Aug. 23rd at the Lookout- 8672 Pineview Ln N. Maple Grove, MN from 2pm-6pm.
