Kathleen Mary Dumas Obituary

Apple Valley, Minnesota. – Kathleen Mary (O’Reilly) Dumas, was born, February 15, 1943, in Minneapolis, MN, and passed away peacefully at Boden Senior Living on July 4, 2026 with loved ones by her side, due to a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

Kathy was loved by many and touched many people’s lives. She was selfless. She took care of everyone’s needs, before her own. Her love of family and friends was precious to her. She devoted herself to caring for others and made it a priority to stay connected every day with the people she loved. Her sense of purpose was rooted in the happiness she created for others.

Kathleen was in marketing research for many years and ultimately retired when she was self-employed. Kathy knew how to have fun. She enjoyed going up to the cabin with family and friends or being with her girlfriends for girl’s weekends or just spending time visiting family or friends. She enjoyed camping and coaching or managing her kids’ sports teams.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary O’Reilly, her siblings, Thomas O’Reilly, Mary O’Reilly and her sister-in-law, Dannette O’Reilly.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Dumas and their three children, Michelle Snyder (Doug), Renee Lukasavitz (Steve) and Michael Dumas, her grandchildren Alexandra (Timo), Matthew, Melanie, Isabelle, Kaley (Nick), Nathan and great granddaughter, Lily, as well as her brother, John O’Reilly and sister, Patricia Norine (Gary) and her sister-in-law, Dorothy O’Reilly. Mom, thank you for always being there and your undying support.

We love you, until we meet again.
