Emily Rasmussen (Thompson), age 86, of Minneapolis and Stacy, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on July 3, 2026.

Emily began her career at Norwest Bank in Camden shortly after graduating from high school. She later worked in administration for World Aerospace Corporation, Honeywell, as well as New Visions Charter School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Irene Thompson; her first husband, Lance Anderson; and her brothers, Chuck Thompson (Myrtle) and Dewayne Thompson (Millie). Emily will be deeply missed by her dedicated and loving husband, Larry Rasmussen whom she found much happiness with at their home in Stacy, MN where they enjoyed nature abounded with cranes, turkeys, deer, bears, and many birds; her children, Michael Anderson (Janel) and Todd Anderson (Kelly); Larry's children, Pam (Larry), Mike (Wendy), Allen (Chyanne), and Audra (Paul); her grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan, Grant, Matthew, and Grace (Tanner); many great-grandchildren; as well as many beloved relatives and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 31075 Genesis Avenue, Stacy, MN 55079. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service, with a luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the church.
