Catherine Ann Svoboda was born on September 24, 1953 in Willmar, MN, and graduated from White Bear Lake High School in 1971. Cathy passed away on June 16, 2026 in Burnsville, MN. She lived in Eagan, MN, for a number of years, and worked all her adult years for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, always working her way up to her final position of Director, Agent/Agency Relations.

Cathy enjoyed a number of years of retirement, and traveling was one of her favorite pastimes. Even as her health began to deteriorate, she derived pleasure from several trips to Mexico, two trips to Israel, and one trip to Greece as some of her traveling highlights. She also appreciated years of boating on the St. Croix and Mississippi rivers. Fishing and the outdoors in general were popular. Other favorite activities she loved were playing board games like Scrabble, Backgammon, and Cribbage where she was a very tough opponent! In more quiet times, she was an avid puzzler, carefully working on a great number of jigsaw puzzles.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Aline Gramith, her sister Margaret Stenman, and her loving partner Paul Clark. She is survived by brothers Chuck (Sue) Gramith, Paul Gramith, Kurt (Ann) Gramith, and Philip (Holly) Gramith.

In lieu of flowers, memorials will be accepted by the Leukemia Research Foundation and Feed My Starving Children.

The funeral service for Cathy Svoboda will be held on Monday, 6/22/26,1:00pm at All Saints Lutheran Church, 3810 Lexington Ave So, Eagan, MN 55123. Visitation starting at 12:30pm

A Celebration of Christian Life for Cathy Svoboda will be held at the residence of Cathy’s brother Kurt Gramith on Saturday, 7/18/26 beginning at 1:00pm. The address is: 21315 205th St NW, Big Lake, MN 55309. All are welcome!
