Don Glimsdal died on May 20 after a short illness. Don is preceded in death by his wife, Janice, and his brothers, Kenneth and Stanley Sr.  He is survived by his children, Peter and Elizabeth (Libby) and grandchildren, Jordan and Linnea.

Don was 90 years of age. He saw so many changes in his lifespan. He was born on his family’s farm outside Appleton, MN. He attended the West Central School of Agriculture for high school and then studied agronomy at the University of Minnesota. It was at the U that Don met Janice. 

In addition to his career in agricultural seed sales, Don was a tireless volunteer. He delivered Meals on Wheels, he was a frequent volunteer for the St Peter Arts and Heritage, and also volunteered regularly at Trinity Lutheran in St Peter.  After his retirement,  he added innumerable volunteer hours for Habitat for Humanity and volunteered to drive St Peter area people to medical appointments. Don's kindness and giving spirit will be missed by all who knew him. 

A celebration of Don's life will be held on June 19th at 11 am at Augustana Lutheran Church, located at 1400 South Robert Street, West St Paul. A reception will follow the service.

In lieu of monetary gifts, the family asks that donations be made in honor of Don to Habitat for Humanity or to a local food bank to support our neighbors in need.
