James Arthur Emmons, age 82, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on June 1, 2026. Born in Saint Paul, Jim married the love of his life, Nancy Croes, in 1965. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1967 and later worked at Cargill for 29 years while also serving with Local 49 for 36 years. Jim loved golf, street rods, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ella Emmons, and his brothers, Ray and Robert. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy; his son, Brian (Michelle) Emmons; grandchildren, Kevin (Samantha) Emmons and Jeremy Emmons; great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Charlotte; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 11th at Eastern Heights Lutheran Church 616 Ruth Street Saint Paul. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, service at 11:00, with a lunch to follow. Private family interment will be held. Special thanks to the Hospice Accent Care Fairview staff who cared for Jim.
