Donald Earl Ainsworth Obituary
Ainsworth, Donald Earl, age 81, of New Hope, previously of Brooklyn Center, passed away on May 30, 2026. He was born on August 17, 1944 in Fall River, Massachusetts. He loved the Lord. He was a devoted husband to Dianna. He found joy in his loyal dogs. Most will know he was an avid fan of cars and motorcycles. He started his career as a younger man who owned his own garage in Massachusetts. Don sold that business and spent some years as a mechanic in Arizona before moving to Minnesota in 1986. He was hired on at Bobby & Steve's Auto World as a mechanic, gradually becoming their maintenance man. He was a volunteer Sheriff's deputy with Hennepin County. Donald was a friend to everyone and loved to strike up a conversation with strangers. He became a member of Living Word Christian Center for many years. It was there that he found the Chariots of Light motorcycle group he was so fond of. Don enjoyed fishing, hiking, bicycling, collecting model cars. Donald was a jack of all trades, instinctively handy - doing carpentry work around the house and garage. He invented several things over the years, including the Bo-Snord snow pusher. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Miriam Ainsworth (Cranston). He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Dianna; his children, Leslie Gray, Marcus Ainsworth (Katelin); their mother, Lorna Kirby; step-children and their mother, Carla C. Blackstone; grandchildren, James and Brian Gray, Ainsley and Lucy Ainsworth; many relatives and good friends.
