Audrey Mary Pokela, age 92, passed away on May 25, 2026, in Plymouth, Minnesota.Audrey was born on February 17, 1934, in Mount Carmel, North Dakota, and was raised on a family farm. She cherished the memories and stories of growing up on the farm and loved sharing them with family and friends throughout her life.

In her early adult years, Audrey devoted herself to raising her family as a stay at home mother. She was a licensed beautician and went on to work as a seamstress, a role that reflected her creativity, talent, and attention to detail. A lifelong devoted Catholic, Audrey’s faith remained a guiding force throughout her life.

Audrey found great joy in crafts, family reunions, and gatherings with loved ones. She especially treasured time spent playing cards and Scrabble with her children and grandchildren, creating memories that will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

She is survived by her children: Connie (Dave) Conrad of Plymouth, MN; Darrin (Lori) Pokela of North Branch, MN; and Sharla (Mike) Benson of Zimmerman, MN. She is a proud grandmother to seven grandchildren: Mark Conrad, Kristina (Eric) Wittenburg, Courtney, Cody, and Callahan Pokela, Samantha (Wilson) Lysford, and Kaitlyn Benson; and great-grandmother to Piper Lysford. She is also survived by her brother, Jerry (Cheryl) Metzger.

Audrey is preceded in death by her mother Julia Hannig, father Arthur Metzger, stepfather Jack Hannig, siblings Everett Metzger, Grace Budnick, Sylvia Thomas, and David Metzger.      A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. and a luncheon at 12:00 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Anoka, Minnesota. The interment is at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud following the funeral luncheon.
