Margaret May Davis, age 91 of Excelsior, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Parish located at 680 Mill St. Excelsior, MN. 55331. Service to begin at 11:30 AM with gathering one hour prior.

Margaret was born on August 30, 1934 in Minneapolis, MN to Adelbert and Madelyn. She graduated from Minneapolis Central High School  in 1952. Her first job was at Dayton’s in downtown Minneapolis where she worked during high school. Margaret married Jack Davis on October 25, 1952 and spent many years raising her beloved family. She retired from Hennepin County Library in 2000 where she worked for eighteen years. It was a job she truly loved.

She also loved to travel (especially to Europe), loved game shows, her beautiful lake view, sweets, reading, and her Book Club. Most of all spending time with family and friends.

Margaret’s dry sense of humor, sarcasm, wit and wisdom were many of the qualities everyone loved about her. She was small but mighty, and as kind as she was tough. We could always count on her love and support. She made a lasting impression on all who knew her and will be deeply missed.

Margaret is survived by her children, Lynn(Don), Tom, Mary, Jackie, John(Karen) nineteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, sister, Susan and many relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jack, son, Michael, daughters, Jean and Therese,  parents, Adelbert and Madelyn, brothers, George and Phillip, son-in-law, Tom
