In Loving Memory of Douglas Alan Dow

Doug Dow, 69 1/2, of St. Paul, MN, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on November 18, 1956 in St. Paul, MN, Doug lived a life marked by kindness, integrity, and devotion to his children and grandchildren. He built a home filled with lots of laughter, a house filled with his children and all of their friends and unwavering support.

Doug enjoyed 33 years of his career as a Security Officer for Securitas, where he was respected for his hard work and lively spirit. Outside of work, he found joy in fishing, hunting, just being outdoors; near a lake or walking in the woods, hanging out with his family and beloved grandchildren which included Ruby and Otis, his fur babies, he never missed an opportunity to share his humor, and crazy stories with others.

He is survived by children: (son) Shawn, Carmen (Nick), Doug and Tom, grandchildren; Connor, Brendan, Isaac, Preston, Jocelyn, Haiden, Marshall, and his fur babies; Ruby and Otis, sister Debbie (Rudy), many Aunt's, Uncle's, nephew's, niece's, cousins and his lifetime friend's; Sandor and Mike.

He was preceded in death by his mother; MaryEllen Dow.

A celebration of Doug’s life will be held on June 1st, 2026 at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 900 Summit Ave, with visitation beginning at 10:00, 11:00 Funeral, followed by a luncheon at Noon (catered by Yarusso Brothers). Prior to the funeral his burial will take place at 8:45 a.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with Military honors. The sequence is backwards but that is how Doug would want it. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to his family.

Doug will be remembered for his contagious laugh, his generous heart, and the love he had for his family and the very real resemblance to the redneck behavior of (Red Forman and Archie Bunker). One of his favorite quotes; "Tuck & Roll - Fuck that Shit, You Make that Shit Happen!!" His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched.
