Terry Wayne Edwinson, age 80, of Lakeville, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026 with family by his side. He was born on November 16, 1945, the son of Raymond and Edith Edwinson (Pope). Terry graduated from Atchison High School in Atchison, Kansas. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose steady presence and love for family shaped the lives of those around him.

Terry worked for American Family Insurance in management and sales for 37 years, a career that reflected his dedication and strong work ethic. Earlier in life, he also worked as a Pizza Hut manager and in drug warehouse sales, and most recently served as an Enterprise driver. He had a great passion for athletics, especially football, along with basketball, and he especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren take part in their own activities. He also loved reading mystery novels and found great enjoyment in the simple pleasures of family, sports, and a good book.

Terry also cherished playing cards with friends, where laughter and friendly competition filled the room. He was known for sharing entertaining “stories” during these gatherings, bringing joy and warmth to those around him. Above all, Terry’s deep commitment to his faith guided his actions and provided strength throughout his life.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Edith Edwinson; his sisters, Connie Horton and Judith Bennett; his brothers, Gary Edwinson, Dean (Tiny) Edwinson, and Michael Edwinson.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gayleen Edwinson (Haeffele) of Lakeville, Minnesota; his sons, David (wife - Tammy) Edwinson of Farmington, Minnesota, and Phillip Edwinson of Slidell, Louisiana; his daughter, Lisa (husband - Andy) Tindell of Lakeville, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Adam (wife - Jill) Edwinson, Jacob (wife- Nikki) Edwinson, Emily (husband -Corey) Fehler, Benjamin Tindell (wife - Hannah), and Hailey Tindell; and his great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Logan, and Ryan.
