Gerald “Jerry” “Butch” Sullivan, 80, of Andover, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center.


Jerry was born on February 4, 1946, and grew up in Minneapolis. He was the son of Martha Moehle and spent more than 53 years in the same home in Andover, where he built a life centered around faith, family, and helping others.


A devoted member of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Jerry was known for his kind spirit, steady presence, and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. He deeply loved the outdoors and took great pride in caring for his yard and pool. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family and the many memories they created together.


Jerry is lovingly survived by Marvyl Sullivan (wife); Lynelle (Philip) Tueffel, Nicole Sullivan, and Accala Sullivan (daughters); six grandchildren; and one beloved grand-dog, Enzo. He is also survived by Judy Pomeroy, Harold Sullivan, and Wanda Daily (siblings), along with many extended family members and friends.


He was preceded in death by, Gerald “Buddy” Sullivan Jr. (son);  Martha Moehle (mother); and Carol White (sister).


A memorial service will be held on June 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Jerry will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his faith, his generosity, and the care he showed to everyone around him.
