Christopher Bruce Bock, 66, of Duluth, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2026, surrounded by family and friends at Essentia Health in Duluth after a short but courageous battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 10 AM at the Cremation Society of Minnesota in Duluth. A visitation will occur 1 hour prior. The service will be followed by an 11:30 AM burial at Calvary Cemetery in Duluth. After the burial, family and friends are invited to gather for a luncheon at Voyageur Bus Company in Duluth to continue celebrating Chris’s life and the many memories shared with him.

Chris was born and raised in Duluth, a city he proudly called home throughout his life. He was a hardworking and dedicated man whose career reflected both his skill and his passion for helping others. Chris spent most of his life working as a mechanic, a profession that perfectly matched his ability to fix just about anything and his love for engines and automobiles. In the last 14 years of his career, he found great joy working as a motor coach driver, where he enjoyed meeting people, traveling, and safely bringing others to their destinations.

More than anything, Chris loved spending time with the people closest to him. He especially cherished traveling and seeing the world with his son, Garrett. Whether camping, golfing, attending dirt track races, or spending countless hours in the pits helping friends over the years, Chris was happiest when surrounded by family, friends, laughter, and the excitement of life.

To so many, he wasn’t just Chris — he was simply “Bock.” A nickname that became synonymous with friendship, loyalty, and good times. Bock was the kind of person everyone was happy to see walk through the door. He had a larger-than-life presence, a kind heart, and a welcoming personality that made people feel like family. Whether sharing stories, lending a hand, or simply enjoying the moment with those around him, he made a lasting impact on countless lives. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.

Chris is survived by his son, Garrett Bock; his lifelong friend and the mother of his son, Rebecca Michael; his brother, John Bock; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and William Bock; his brothers, Thomas, Robert, James, Calvin, and Michael “Mickey” Bock; half-brother William "Benny"; and sisters, Marjorie, Helen, and Maryann.

Chris leaves behind a legacy of loyalty, friendship, hard work, and love. Though his absence leaves an immeasurable void, the memories he created and the lives he touched will live on forever.
