Jeffrey Curtis Strand, age 69, of Minneapolis, passed away of natural causes on May 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, steady devotion, and a life shaped by hard work and deep love for his family.

Born December 15, 1956, in Elgin, Illinois, Jeff grew up with a strong sense of responsibility that carried him through every chapter. He spent most of his life in the Chicago area, first working at his father's company, Great Lakes Grinding, Inc., and then serving as a sales associate with Bay State Abrasives. For many years, he continued to bring his hands-on skills and craftsmanship as a carpenter to commercial construction sites throughout the region. No matter the job, Jeff showed up with a work ethic that spoke louder than words. He was the kind of man who could step into any role, learn it, master it, and give it his all.

Jeff faced life’s challenges with a quiet resilience that defined him. He didn’t seek attention or praise; he simply kept going, meeting each hardship with determination and a steady heart.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Dean, his mother, Norma Jean of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, and his sister-in-law Sharon Easton Strand. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Strand Harding (Ray); his sons Dean, John, Matthew, and Robert; and their mother, Beth Strand. He is also survived by his siblings Mike (Lindsay), Gale, and David Strand, along with many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and grandnieces who will carry his memory forward in their stories, their laughter, and the quiet moments when they feel his presence most.

Jeff’s life was not loud, but it was full. Full of effort, full of heart, and full of love shown through action. Those who knew him will remember the steadiness of his hands, the strength of his character, and the quiet ways he showed up for the people he loved. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the simple, steady goodness he brought into the world.
