It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Forrest “Woody” Borreson, who departed this life peacefully on April 22, 2026, at the age of 70. Woody was born on March 27, 1956, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Forrest and Dorothy Borreson. He spent most of his childhood and adolescent years in White Bear Lake, MN, but enjoyed spending many summers with his Grandma and Grandpa Karn in Milwaukee. 

Woody was a dedicated husband to Anne (Torning) Borreson, his loving wife of 45 years, and a devoted father to Laurel Borreson, Nick (Kelly) Borreson, and Kelsey (Colin) Settle. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Jordan, Sophia, Beau and Jace. He is survived by his brother Kris, stepmother Diane, and his stepsisters, Sandy and Deb.

Woody was a hardworking man who built a career as a lumber salesman. He will be remembered for his love of music, dogs, fishing, camping and the great outdoors. He was also known for helping family and friends with any and all home construction projects. Woody’s kindness, generosity and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten. 

A Celebration of Life will take place on June 13th, from 11am-3pm at the Cremation Society of Minnesota at 7110 France Ave. S., Edina, MN 55435.
