Susan Clara Paurus, 85, of Delano, MN died peacefully on May 17th, 2026.

She was born in Minneapolis, MN on July 5th, 1940, to John and Eileen Lauren. She lived most of her childhood in St. Louis Park, MN before obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hamline University. Sue worked various part-time jobs, including being a stewardess for Northwest Orient Airlines, and as an Administrative Assistant for a cable television company prior to her retirement.

Sue loved animals, traveling (especially to Europe), cooking for family and friends, reading, antiques, music, and cheering on the Minnesota Twins, Vikings, and Wild.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband Donald Paurus, parents John and Eileen Lauren, and brother John (Jack) Lauren. She is survived by daughters Lisa Paurus (Robert Hanson) and Kimberly Anderson, stepson Michael Paurus (Karla), stepdaughter Terri Dahlin, grandchildren Stephani Anderson, Megan Anderson, and Bailey Anderson, step-grandchildren Jenny Hamson (Cody), Devin Steward, and Kayley Dahlin, great-grandchild Clara Anderson, a niece and nephew, and many wonderful friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at 12:00PM at the Baker Park Reserve “Aspen” Picnic Area. 2309 County Road 19 Maple Plain, MN 55359
