Nancy Jeanne Carlson passed away on May 7th, 2026 at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN at the age of 77. She lived in Belle Plaine, MN with her husband, Rich. She was born on September 24, 1948 in St. Paul, MN. She was the loving daughter of Robert and Marion (McVay) Barnd. She was previously married to Bill Exum. Nancy's previous employment consisted of work for Northwest Airlines and Minnesota Valley Electric until she met the love of her life, Rich, and together they team drove a semi truck for 37 years. They together drove a total of eight million accident free miles. She was a member of Living Hope Lutheran Church in Shakopee, MN which she loved so much and actively supported them in various volunteer opportunities. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Belle Plaine, MN. She had a great passion for donating her time to help others. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law, Doug Ramsay, sister-in-law, Aubre Barnd and step daughter-in-law, Jennifer Carlson. She is survived by her husband, Rich, of 40 years, her sons, Patrick (Jill) Exum and Shane Exum, her stepchildren, Rich (Tammy) Carlson, Tammy (Jeff) Dammen, Troy (Jaime) Carlson, sister, Shirley Ramsay and brothers, Steve (Bonnie) Barnd and Craig Barnd as well as many nieces and nephews. She was blessed with 25 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She leaves behind many cousins and special friends as well.

Visitation is at Living Hope Lutheran Church, 8600 Horizon Dr. in Shakopee, MN on Saturday, May 16th, 2026 from 1:30pm-2:30pm. Service is at 2:30pm and lunch will follow.
