Ronald Clinton "Ron" Kolb Obituary
Ronald "Ron" Clinton Kolb
January 9, 1938 – April 22, 2026
Ronald Clinton Kolb of Minneapolis, MN, a man who built things to last and never met a dessert he couldn't finish, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026. He was 88 years old.
Born on January 9, 1938, Ron lived a life defined by hard work, a quick wit, and an enduring love for his family. In his younger years, he worked alongside his father, Clinton, scaling heights to build water towers across the region. That foundation of craftsmanship led the duo to open the Country Furniture Store in Rosemount, MN. For decades, Ron poured his skill into creating solid oak furniture, pieces that remain in homes today as a testament to his dedication and artistry.
When he wasn't at the woodshop, Ron could usually be found near a lake with a fishing pole in hand or settled in to watch a NASCAR race. He was a man who truly understood the value of a good laugh; he loved joking around with friends and strangers alike, always looking for a way to lighten the mood. Above all, Ron believed in the "second helping" rule of life, especially when it came to dessert.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Mayme Kolb; his beloved wife, Joyce Kolb; his son, Ronnie; and his grandson, Grant Olson.
His legacy of humor and strength lives on through his children: Randy Kolb, Ronda (Tim) Murry, and Troy (Karla) Kolb. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Ronnie, Jamie, Haley, Adam, Maddie, and Tiffany, as well as many great-grandchildren, family members, and dear friends who will miss his stories and his smile.
