Enid Erickson Obituary
Our family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved wife/mom/grandma/great-grandma, and friend Enid Erickson, age 85.
Enid passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family that she loved so dearly. Enid was a beautiful spirit whose light will live on in our hearts, she will be forever missed and eternally loved.
Enid was preceded in death by her Mother-in-Law, Margaret Erickson and stepson Rob Erickson.
Enid is survived by her loving husband, Bob; her daughters, Colleen (Brendan Draves) Ousdigian and Sharon (Steve) Broom. Stepchildren: Nancee, Denice, Wendee, Matt, Mark, Mitch, and Rhonda. And her cherished grandchildren, Jason, Emily, Joseph, Kaleb, and Justin (Sidney). She leaves behind grandchildren, MolleeLynn, Brandi, Dustin, and Kyle and great granddaughter Alexus who were all a significant part of her world. Enid also leaves behind many beloved bonus grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as well as her brother Dwight and sister Sheila.
Born on April 22, 1941, in Austin, Minnesota, Enid grew up to be a woman of many talents. After graduating from Alexander Ramsey High School, she began a career in bookkeeping, where her sharp mind for numbers and meticulous attention to detail flourished. Her true passion lay in creation. An exceptionally gifted seamstress, Enid spent countless hours sewing beautiful clothes, curtains, and blankets for her family and friends. She eventually combined her professional precision with her artistic soul by opening her own store, Blueberry Country, a space where she helped others fill their homes and lives with happiness.
Enid was best known for her quick smile and a sharp sense of humor that could brighten any room. She possessed a rare and precious gift: the ability to make every person in her presence feel uniquely loved and special. Whether she was gardening, creating, or simply offering her unwavering support, her hands and heart were rarely still.
Enid's life was a journey of adventure and joy with her husband, Bob. Together, they walked through life hand-in-hand, a testament to their deep and enduring devotion. Sailing on over 50 cruises, fishing, gardening, creating a magical fairy garden, nurturing a backyard full of flowers and nature. And always looking forward to the next trip or just the next morning spent together talking about the memories they created and the ones yet to come.
A private celebration of life will be held for the immediate family.
The family wishes to express their profound gratitude to the teams at Wealshire of Bloomington and MN Hospice for the wonderful and loving care provided to Enid and her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Enid’s honor.
