Anne Rose Green Obituary

Green, Anne Rose

On April 26, 2026, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Supported by the love of her family, she leaves behind a legacy defined by devotion, warmth, and quiet strength.

Anne was the beloved wife of George David Green, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage—a partnership marked by enduring love, commitment, service to others and shared memories that spanned generations. Together they built a family that became her greatest pride and joy.

She was a devoted mother to Katherine Schultz (TJ), David Green (deceased), Thomas Green (Megan) and Carol Bryant (Charles) each of whom carries forward her values of kindness, resilience, and care for others. Her love extended richly into the lives of her five grandchildren (Brianna, Vanessa, Marissa, Mackenzie and Brayden) and three great-grandchildren (Anayjha, Zareonna and Najir) all who brought her immense happiness and purpose.

Anne also held close the roles of sister (Charles, Tom and Ellen) and cherished “godmother” and even grand “godmother” to many, embracing these titles not just in name but in spirit. She offered guidance, comfort, and unwavering support to all who were fortunate enough to call her family.

Born in Bakersfield, California to Charles (Jack) and Evalyn Rose.  She graduated from Stanford University in 1962 with an B.A. and an M.A. in Music Education. Anne carried with her a lifelong appreciation for life’s simple joys—especially music, which filled her home and heart. Whether it was a favorite song playing softly in the background, singing with the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Choir, or a melody shared among loved ones, music was one of the many ways she expressed her deep affection for those around her.

Her life was one of generosity, connection, and enduring love. She will be remembered not only for the family she nurtured but for the countless lives she touched with her gentle presence and open heart.

Anne’s memory will live on in the stories shared and the love that continues through all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life for Anne will take place on Saturday, May 2 at 11am at St Mary’s Episcopal Church,
