James Leon Blom passed away on April 10th, 2026 at the age of 80. He was a resident of Lake Ridge Senior Health & Living Health Care Center.

James was born in Fairmont, Minnesota, on February 3rd, 1946, he was the loving son of Raymond and Gertrude Blom.

He served in the Army for over 2 years and moved up to rank of Sargeant E5 RA. After his service he worked at Red Owl and SuperValu for the majority of his working career with early retirement from SuperValu as a maintenance engineer. In his free time James was very interested in cars and old westerns.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Blom; parents, Raymond Blom & Gertrude (Brockman) Blom; sister, Sharon Klemm; and brothers, Dennis, Larry, Michael and Roger Blom.

He is survived by his children, Timothy (Christina) Blom and Teia (Lance) Johnson; along with 5 grandsons, Alex Laugen, Brandon Blom, Cody Schoknecht, Kyle Blom and Tom Laugen; sister, Joyce Regal; brothers, Donald and Richard Blom, all residing in Minnesota.

Celebration of Life will be held at the Anoka American Legion on May 24th from 1 to 4 pm
