Rochelle Lynea Lithgow Obituary
Rochelle Lynea Lithgow, lovingly known as Shelly, was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Sandra (Constantine) Majors. She was born on April 26, 1971, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the youngest of four siblings.
As a young woman, Shelly met Kevin, the love of her life, through what began as a random prank phone call—an unexpected moment that blossomed into a lifelong love story. Their relationship grew strong, leading to their marriage on September 25, 1992.
On July 11, 1992, Shelly dedicated her life to Jehovah as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Before their marriage, she and Kevin studied the Bible together, cultivating a deep love for Jehovah and His promises. Shelly lived her faith wholeheartedly for 34 years, finding great joy in sharing Bible truths and the hope they bring.
She especially treasured the words of Proverbs 31:10, “Who can find a capable wife?” Shelly truly embodied that description. She was deeply loved by her husband and family, known for her strength, kindness, and unwavering devotion. She also found comfort in the promise found at Revelation 21:4, which speaks of a future time when “death will be no more, neither mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore, The former things have passed away” This hope remained close to her heart, and she looked forward with confidence to the fulfillment of that promise, including the resurrection.
Shelly had a deep love for her worldwide spiritual family and took great joy in teaching others about the Bible’s message of hope. Sharing these promises was not just something she did—it was something she truly loved.
Above all, Shelly treasured being a mother to her three children: Alex, Alison, and Atticus. Family meant everything to her. Whether traveling near or far, vacations were always shared together, often alongside fellow believers, appreciating both friendship and the beauty of God’s creation.
Shelly found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—especially watching a beautiful sunset or spending a quiet evening fishing with Kevin. Her laughter was contagious, her smile unforgettable. She loved bringing people together, eagerly planning gatherings and celebrations for any occasion. Her warmth and joy left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
Shelly will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family and friends look forward to the time when Jehovah fulfills His promise of a resurrection in a restored paradise earth.
Shelly is survived by her devoted husband, Kevin Lithgow; her mother, Sandra Majors; her three children, Alex Lithgow, Alison Lithgow, and Atticus Lithgow; her sisters, Heidi Majors, Melanie Majors, and Anita (Althouse) Majors; as well as her niece, and nephews, dear friends, and a large and loving spiritual family.
A memorial for her will be held May 16th 2026 at 3pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s witnesses.
