Timothy Neal Gallagher of Oakdale, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on April 8, 2026 at the age of 75.

Born on December 4,1950 in Saint Paul, MN to Neal and Phyllis Gallagher. Tim attended elementary school at St. Casimir’s on St. Paul’s Eastside.

He graduated from Crosier Seminary in Onamia, MN.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kathy, son Ryan (Casandra) of Stacy, MN and daughter Laura (Kyle) Gustafson of New Brighton, MN. Four grandchildren: Elliott, Liam, Isaac and Skyler.

He is also survived by siblings: Christine (Tim) McGinty; Tom (Peggy) Gallagher; Peggy Gallagher; Annie (Lee) Walker; John (Susan) Gallagher; Joe Gallagher; Jim (Sandy) Gallagher; Mark (Nancy) Gallagher; Fr. Greg Gallagher; Katie (Bob) Moore.

He was a Veteran, proudly served in the U.S. Army. Tim was an electrician; with most of his career spent working for Weber Electric. He was also an assistant Scout leader for many years.

Tim found joy in life’s simple pleasures - religiously working through the NY Times crossword each day or working on a challenging jigsaw puzzle.

Tim was sharp witted, and he enjoyed the outdoors - fly fishing near the North Shore with his Grandfather as a young boy, deer hunting and spending time with family at the Gallagher cabin on Sand Lake in Wisconsin.

Tim was truly a jack of all trades. If there was a problem, he would find a solution - often inventing one along the way. If something was broken, he could fix it. He had a gift for figuring things out, and he was always willing to lend his time and talents to help others.

Tim loved his family. Tim and Kathy enjoyed traveling, cruises, and listening to live music. His children and grandchildren brought him great pride. He enjoyed watching and cheering on his grandchildren at baseball and soccer games. He will be remembered as funny, generous and kind.

Memorials preferred to the American Lung Association.

A celebration of Tim’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 22 at 12:30 PM at the American Legion, 1129 Arcade Street St. Paul MN 55106

Private internment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
