Bruce Kevin Fennern, age 67, of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, passed away on April 2, 2026, with his loving friend Becky at his side.

Bruce was born on January 2, 1959, in Granite Falls, Minnesota, to Gerald and Marion Fennern. He graduated from Wabasso High School in 1977. He then attended Mankato State University, where he graduated magna cum laude in June 1981, with a double major in Law Enforcement and Corrections. He spent his career as a police officer with the City of Brooklyn Park, serving with pride more than 31 years before retiring in January 2014. He greatly enjoyed his years of retirement.

He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed spending time near Lake Mille Lacs with his campground friends. He enjoyed sharing outdoor adventures with friends and family and leaves behind many fond memories with those who knew him. 

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Fennern; nephew, Timothy Fennern; great-niece, Emma Miller; great-nephew, Landon Miller; his grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his mother, Marion Fennern; brother, Brian (Ramona) Fennern; sister, Terri (Brent) Casmey; brother, Jeff (Margaret) Fennern; sister, Traci (Larry) Rock; special friend, Becky Warhol; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family extends special thanks to good friend and colleague Chad Glirbas and the Brooklyn Park Police family for their support. Additional gratitude is given to the staff at Our Lady of Peace Hospice in St. Paul, Minnesota, for their compassionate care.
