Oswald Joseph Tschida Obituary

Oswald Joseph Tschida passed away peacefully on March,13th in Arden Hills in the house he built for his family.   Almost 102, he was born April 2, 1924 in St. Rose, Minnesota where he grew up on the family farm and later moved to St. Paul where he met the love of his life Irene. They had 7 children and were married for 77 years. He is survived by his brother Victor Tschida (Beatrice) and Ralph Tschida (Judy), and his children, Gloria Myllenbeck (Steve), Marlene Helmrich (Tom ), Ruthann Stark (Bill), Randy Tschida (Jody), Carol Lutz (John), John Tschida, Jean White (Scott), as well as 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.


He is preceded in death by his parents Herman and Mary Tschida , brother Herb(Annie), sister Priscilla(Jerome), Sister Herman (Stella), son-in-law Steve Myllenbeck, and  sweet grandson Nickolas White.


Ozzie was a self-taught musician who could play the piano, guitar and harmonica and his favorite the accordion. The party always started when the accordion player arrived. He will be missed by his family and friends and loving neighbors. He was a good man who taught us how to live with kindness.  To the world you were our Dad, to our family you were the world.


His funeral mass will be held April 25th at 10:30 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Brighton, 835 2nd Ave. N. W. New Brighton Mn 55112
