Terry Allen Langsdorf Obituary
LANGSDORF, Terry Allen, age 82, of Coon Rapids, passed away on April 1, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Terry was born on March 22, 1944, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from Wauwatosa High School and began working at what was then the Milwaukee Road railroad. In December of 1965, he was drafted into the U.S. Army and served two years of active duty as a Military Police Officer in Vietnam.
Following his military service, Terry returned to the railroad, where he dedicated 42 years before retiring from what was then known as Canadian Pacific Railway.
Terry was never happier than when spending time with his family and friends—many of whom he had known for decades. He loved golfing, woodworking, watching Minnesota Twins and Green Bay Packers games, and putting together puzzles. He was famous in his neighborhood for his golf-course-quality lawn. An outgoing and caring man, Terry made an impact on everyone he met and brought smiles to those fortunate enough to know him.
He leaves behind a family deeply grateful for his love: his beloved wife of nearly 56 years, Janice (Schaar) Langsdorf; his children, Lori (Jeff) Lundquist and Erik (Lisa) Langsdorf; his grandchildren, Dalton (Brandi) Lundquist, Ally Langsdorf, and Sadie Langsdorf; and his great-grandchildren, Dakota Lundquist and Gage Lundquist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Marie Langsdorf (Phillip); his brother, Russell (Marge) Langsdorf; and his sister, Carol (Tom) Reed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to charities close to Terry’s heart:
