Marilyn Johnson-Cannon died April 1st, 2026, of kidney failure.

Marilyn was born on the 3rd of July,1947, to Arthur Paul Johnson and Arlys [Haas] Johnson. She was the third of 6 children. Marilyn graduated from Our Lady of Peace High School in 1965 and the University of Minnesota in 1970. She moved to San Francisco shortly after graduation.

Marilyn married NewLester Cannon on March 10, 1979. He preceded her in death. They had 2 children, Jahna English and Benjamin. Marilyn is also survived by stepson Nomathembi Martini and 4 grandchildren: Justenn and Ty Fields, and Taylor and Eve Martini.

Marilyn also leaves behind 5 siblings: Carole, Pat, Paul, Lynne, and Stacey, their spouses, and numerous nieces and nephews.
