Dolores Lucia Antonutti "Dolly" Dutmer Obituary
Dolores “Dolly” Lucia Antonutti Dutmer, 91, of Gary New Duluth, MN, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 1, 2026.
Born August 3, 1934, in Duluth, MN, Dolly was a strong, independent woman who remained the steady center of her family after the passing of her husband Paul Dutmer in 2001. She dedicated over 20 years as a Title 1 Aide at Stowe Elementary School and was active in the Italian American Club, GND Community Club, St. Elizabeth Women’s Club, and St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
She found joy in movies, cooking, needlepoint, and photography. She was especially known for her potica and for hosting family holidays. Dolly also had her own unique traditions—brewing her own iced tea, tending to her flowers, and sharing stories about her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Paul Dutmer; her parents, Jennie Stretar Antonutti and Santo Antonutti; her 2 sisters Lorraine Bakeric and Theresa Christen; brother Santo Antonutti; and grandson Andrew Dzuck.
She is survived by her sister Janice (Pete) Nelson, her 6 daughters, Dawn McKenzie-Landas, Diane Dutmer-Pfeffer, Joan Burger, Jane (Don) Dzuck, Paula (Paul) Nephew, and Jenny (Chris) Skull; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many close cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church from 9-10 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. Mass and luncheon, with burial at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to GND Development Alliance or Stowe School Foundation. The family extends special thanks to Barnes Care and St. Croix Hospice for their compassionate care.
